5 Best Anime/Game Motorcycle Figures

Black Rock Biker

Were you stocked when you saw that new Fate/Zero Saber figma riding that bike last week? Don’t worry, we got you covered. Here’s a list of the coolest, meanest, shiniest lumps of metal a figure has ever laid hands on.

Final Fantasy VII Cloud Strife & Hardy Daytona

Cloud Bike

Ah, old Cloud and his awesome motorcycle. Who can forget that pumping moment when Cloud hijacked this beast right from the Shinra headquarters and then fought some baddies on the highway!
There have been several Cloud & Bike figures throughout the years but this classic depiction is still a winner.

Black Rock Shooter: Motorcycle ver.

Black Rock Biker

The Black Rock Shooter PSP game that came out in Japan last year had epic motorcycle action. Frankly studio Ordet made a huge mistake when they opted to leave the motorcycle out of their anime adaptation. The Japanese figure companies were also crazy enough not to make a proper figure of Black Rock Shooter on a bike. Good Smile Company, what ever happened to that Black Trike you showed on display in Wonder Fest 2011?
News flash: in the original music video and in the video game Black Rock Shooter is riding a motorcycle and we want to recreate these scenes pronto. She deserves a proper motorcycle figure. So here’s what I did: I created a mockup from the upcoming Black Rock Shooter: TV Animation ver. Figma and the upcoming ex:ride Spride.05 : Saber Motored Cuirassier. I call it Black Rock Shooter: Motorcycle ver. but you can call it the best Black Rock Shooter figure ever.

Final Fantasy XIII Play Arts Kai Shiva Bike

Shiva Bike 1

A lot of fans were disappointed by Final Fantasy XIII. But the game spawned the hellish Shiva bike – a living bike comprised of the two Shiva sisters. Seeing Snow riding this bike during the in-game CG movies was pure delight, and the figure Square Enix made for the bike was also a work of art. Just like the original this bike is made from the two Shiva sisters, both of which can be separated and turned into human form. This living bike was truly something. You could even position each sister as either the front or the back when you assembled it.

Ichigeki Sacchu!! HoiHoi-san LEGACY PestX-san Byakuya Ver.&Oboro Eiga DX Transformable Set

Ichigeki Sacchu

From the Ichigeki Sacchu!! HoiHoi-san Legacy manga comes this “innocent” red bike. It’s one of my personal favorites and deserves more attention. This little bike doesn’t look very impressive, until you realize just how much you can tweak it. Change the location of a few parts and you can make one of these:

Ichigeki Sacchu!! 2 Ichigeki Sacchu!! 3

Impressive isn’t it? The motorcycle comes with the Pest X san figure as well and at a very attractive price point at that. But those interested in purchasing one should know beforehand that this is not a pre-painted figure – meaning it come in dull gray and you have to color it yourself. Those brave enough will be rewarded.

Saber & Saber Motored Cuirassier

Saber & Saber Motored Cuirassier

You saw that one coming didn’t you? When this gorgeous figure was announced in January it instantly became the number one preordered item among the figure community, and with good reason. Not only does it depict the super-popular Saber from the super-popular Fate/Zero anime, it’s also beautiful. And yes, it also comes with a hefty price tag. But don’t be tempted to go the easy way by combining the Fate/Zero figma with the ex:ride Spride.05 : Saber Motored Cuirassier. That Fate/Zero figma just doesn’t look good enough to be a substitute for the Saber & Saber Motored Cuirassier. This is a clear example of the known phrase “it pays to pay more” (ok, I made this one up, but it totally makes sense!).

And there you have it – my 5 Best Anime/Game Motorcycle Figures list.
Are you planning to buy any of these? Do you know of a different motorcycle figure you think should be on this list? If so do share.
